Hexi-Tech Support Pal – Data Collection
The Hexi-Tech Support Pal is your personal IT assistant. Submit a ticket by simply pressing the Support Pal button and filling out one sentence about your problem or issue. Once activated, the Hexi-Tech Support Pal gets to work supplying us with diagnostics on your computer. Once collected your Support Pal bundles all the diagnostics with your ticket. This helps us to get you up and running as fast as possible.
Your Support Pal runs a package of scripts that looks at the following:
- Currently Logged in User Account
- Computer name and hardware identifiers
- Screenshots of your Current Screen and the last actions you took historically up to as many as 30 actions.
- Network and WIFI connection information and diagnostics
- Hardware Status
- Running Processes
- Recent Event Viewer Logs
- Recent Website History
- Custom scripts and other diagnostic information
No information is sent until you submit your Problem Details.

A word on your responsibility when submitting information through the Hexi-Tech Support Pal Button or Application
It is your (the end user) responsibility to make sure you are not submitting private or confidential information through the Support Pal buttons or application when submitting your help ticket. We’ve taken precautions to securely store the information you have supplied. However, HIPAA, SOX (and other customer-protection federal statutes covering personal information) standards still apply for information you knowingly submit over telecommunications. Please make sure to avoid sending any Personally Identifying Information (SSN, DOB, etc) or otherwise sensitive information (including passwords, security keys, etc) through the ticketing system. If you are unsure if a piece of data should be sent via the ticketing system, please err on the side of caution and reach out to us prior at info@hexi-tech.com.
